Under a tipi on the green at Novotel Twin Waters Resort, Brisbane couple Emily and Andrew celebrated their wedding with an intimate wedding for just 25 of their closest family and friends, including their three children.
Emily says the love of her life, Andrew, is the most supportive partner a girl could ask for. He’s the best daddy to the couple’s three little munchkins, and a really great surprise proposer…
“Andrew and I had been together for nine years. I actually wasn’t sure we would get married – him proposing at all was a big surprise! He proposed a few days before my 30th birthday with our 10 month old daughters help. It was a very emotional, super sweet moment.”
Wedding Vendor Goals
“Honestly we could not have asked for more from every single supplier! They were all amazing to deal with and went above and beyond what I expected! We had not met our photographer Bonnie prior to our wedding but it was like we had known her forever, she made two people who are very awkward in front of the camera feel so comfortable and Nat from Heavenly Blooms produced such stunning work with very little guidance from me. I showed her what we were all wearing and she just did her thing. I was also very worried about my makeup as I don’t wear any normally but Louise really listened and I was so happy with the result. I could honestly go on and on about all of our suppliers.”
Finding Our Vendors

“We had live music the whole day. Johanna and Jayden did beautiful renditions of ‘Passenger‘ and Kate Miller Heidke’s ‘The One You Love’ for our aisle song and Baaba Maal and Mumford and Sons’ ‘There Will Be Time’ for right after the ceremony.”
The One Thing I’d Change
“The only thing I would change is that I would hire a videographer. Planning the wedding we didn’t think we needed one, but looking back now I would love that video reminder of the day as it truly goes by so quickly.”
Biggest splurge: The flowers. At the beginning I was not even going to have any floral arrangements but then I saw Nat at Heavenly Blooms‘ work and had to have everything!
