Spotlight on a Supplier: Hair by Nicola

Nicola Daly is an incredible Sunshine Coast wedding hair stylist, and all-round lovely person. Today we wanted to introduce you to her lovely self, and benefit from her wisdom about everything from whether or not to wear a veil and how best to compliment your dress with your hairstyle.

Today our spotlight is on Hair by Nicola, and we have asked her the tough questions for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!

TBT: What is the most recent Facebook page you liked?

HBN: Anna Campbell – Wedding Dress Designer

TBT:  Do you Tweet? Do you understand Twitter?

HBN: No I have not put the time into Twitter. I am trying to cut down the amount of time I spend on my computer and phone.

TBT:  What is something very special to you in your life?

HBN: My wonderful fiancé and our two beautiful children, (Max is five years old and Alli-May is nine months), my friends and… the ocean!

TBT:  Veil or no veil?

HBN: I love the birdcage veils and fascinators that are making a comeback with the vintage-inspired weddings. A fresh flower or a clip is a nice option for a beach or garden ceremony. They do tend to soften a hairstyle also. Veils are still popular, but it depends on the person, the dress and the location of the ceremony.

TBT:  What is your favorite hair styling product?

HBN: Original Mineral Atonic Spray and Oasis Dust it Powder.

TBT:  What is your absolute favorite wedding day hair look for brides?

HBN: Apparently I have a signature style, which is a natural elegant relaxed style. I love soft styles that are not too starch and tight looking.

TBT:  What is your best advice to brides?

HBN: Your hairstyle should compliment your dress, not compete with it. Try to still feel like you by keeping your hairstyle comfortable and complimentary to your overall look.

Any style is achievable by adding hair extensions/pieces or padding. You can add volume and or length to keep your own hair in shape and natural looking throughout the day.

Totally immerse yourself in the happiness and outpouring of love that you will experience every minute of the day. Relish everything from the morning shared with your friends and family getting ready to walking towards your husband to-be for the first time, and the celebration to follow. Your smile is your beauty!
