Our Summer 2022 edition of our online magazine  is our 35th volume of our pretty little rag. It’s the go-to place for wedding planning inspiration – especially if you happen to be getting married here on the Sunshine Coast.

The Bride’s Tree Magazine has been bringing you free wedding content since 2012, and it’s still absolutely free for you to view and download.

We took a little road trip to Dusty Hill Vineyard, where our creative crew for this edition put together a luxury boho shoot, complete with a unique mode of transportation that’s sure to elevate – quite literally – any nuptial celebrations.

Sidney + Jake shared their iconic Maleny wedding with us. This one is worth a look for Sidney’s dress alone – the train is to die for! Oh, but also the venue, flowers, styling and bridal shoot are pretty special.

Oh my, Melissah + Ben’s wedding has all the pretty details. Another private property wedding, (two in one edition, what am I like?), this time in complete contrast it’s in the countryside. Outstanding florals, creative and visually exciting catering, and even a couple of gorgeous highland cows. This is the stuff wedding day dreams are made of.

It feels quite the milestone to say this here is our 25th edition of The Bride’s Tree Magazine. If this Sleeping Beauty-esque cover isn’t enough to entice you, let me assure you you’re in for some seriously stunning Sunshine Coast wedding inspiration. 

It’s complete coincidence this special edition happens to fall in my favourite season – Autumn. Wedding inspiration around this time of year always gets me excited. The warm romantic tones and opportunity to snuggle up by the fire in the hinterland, or watch the pink sunsets on the coast have me shook. 

I know you’re going to love pouring over our latest offering of the bridal magazine variety, and of course as always it’s completely free for you to enjoy! Here’s a little snapshot of the main features in this edition… 

For our cover shoot at Spicers Clovelly our team included some delightful details, such as the flowing silk ribbons on the bouquet that fit our colour palette to perfection. 

Sammi and Jack’s boho hipster vibes for their wedding, complete with yurk, bridesman and a scrunchie-wearing groom! 

In complete contrast, we have classic wedding perfection in Simone and Haydn’s hinterland chapel wedding.

While Kelly and Hayden did it their own way in Noosa with their private property reception.

Brides, I think we’ve outdone ourselves. This, our 23rd edition of The Bride’s Tree magazine contains some of our favourite wedding inspiration of all time. 

We organised two styled shoots in complete contrast with one another. Our cover image comes from our tipi and tent reception shoot at Maleny Retreat, an expansive blank canvas wedding venue with panoramic views of the Glass House Mountains. The prettiness is next level with a colour palette of soft pinks, white and grey. From the dress to the table settings, it is undeniably divine. 

The inspiration for our restaurant wedding shoot  in Noosa was born with one glance at a set of Blue Calico handmade dinner plates from the  English Potters – Burleigh since 1851 Confetti Events has in their hire items. Quickly this grew to incorporate a Mediterranean wedding theme at Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar, which boasts some of the best Italian food in Noosa.

Spring Awakening 

Soft and romantic in style, our luxe styled shoot is in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, where our blushing bride and dashing groom frolicked under tents and tipis.

Springtime Colour

Inspired by springtime blooms, this sweet chapel wedding with a hint of a vintage vibe took place in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland with the Glass House Mountains on the horizon.

Laura + Cameron’s Real Wedding 

First their ceremony on Noosa’s Main Beach, then their private property reception in a Southern tropical luxe style we are still lusting over. 

Mediterranean Style, Riverside

Good food, relaxed vibes, waterfront location. These are all key elements to creating a Mediterranean-style wedding. Adding fresh white florals with abundant greenery and pops of yellow and blue, we created a Noosa wedding at one of its most famous Italian restaurants.

Winter is here, but nobody is going cold. Especially not here in Queensland on the Sunshine Coast, where as the famous saying goes, it’s beautiful one day, perfect the next. 

It’s always an exciting day when we launch our latest edition of our free online bridal magazine, especially created for you my darling Sunshine Coast brides! Oh, incase it wasn’t clear – today is that day! This is our 22nd edition of our magazine, and it’s an absolute pearler. 

The Bride’s Tree team are totally on board with winter weddings, in fact we’d go so far as to recommend them, because the weather here on the Sunshine Coast at least is pretty darn close to perfect for a wedding. It’s mild during the day with mostly sunshine, and the evenings allow for a cosy reception, preferably somewhere with a fireplace, like Weddings at Tiffany’s, the place where we first lay our scene… 

 Depths of Winter

We took a gaggle of some of our fave A-list Vendors up the Range to Weddings at Tiffany’s to shoot an opulent, romantic winter wedding inspiration shoot. 

Kaity + Wade’s Montville Wedding

Bright florals is a beautiful way to add some colour and life to your winter wedding. This one is just gorgeous. Wait till you see the ceremony arbour arrangement! 

Kate + Luke’s Noosa Wedding

Once this bride and groom chose their wedding venue, they knew they wanted to make good use of the surrounding pristine beach locations. Contemporary and clean, I LOVE this wedding and the candid style of photography. 

Honeymoon Whitsundays 

Earlier this year, I took a trip with Tourism Whitsundays and found the absolute perfect location for a romantic, adventure and food-filled honeymoon here in Queensland.

Summer’s here and the time is right for getting out your shortie pjs and cosying up with an… iced tea, maybe… to get a good old dose of wedding beauty right smack bang on your eyeballs.

This here is our 20th edition of our quarterly bridal magazine, and we went all out and created 98 pages of inspiration for summer weddings like you’ve never seen before.

Palm Springs Rooftop Summer Soiree

We took to a Mooloolaba rooftop and created a Palm Springs-inspired wedding shoot that was positively dripping in fun summer wedding feels. Coral Charm Peonies littered our floral arrangements, and our bridal fashion model donned a head-turning designer gown while she twirled in delight in front of her donut wall – yes, you read that right – donut wall. Geometric laser cut elements brought in something a little bit different with a contemporary twist on a retro concept. 

Samantha + Mitchell’s Maleny Retreat Wedding 

This is seriously one of the most beautiful weddings we’ve ever seen. I’m not hyping you, friends, I swear! This blank canvas sprawling location with panoramic views of the Glass House Mountains is the ideal place to pitch a marquee and have the elegant contemporary wedding of your dreams. This wedding with all its well-planned elements is a must-see.

A Midsummer Night’s Wedding 

Dreamy decadence in a natural setting – this wedding inspiration shoot takes the classic colour theme of deep blue and gold, adding in some gorgeous grey tones and ivory and makes a meal of all the prettiness that ensues. The whimsical feel is heightened by the private estate location. 

Preppy Wedding in Flaxton

Yes it is completely possible to have a flash preppy wedding, complete with a Southern Plantation vibe right here on the Sunshine Coast. Flaxton Grove and Flaxton Gardens provide the ideal setting for those wanting a high end wedding with all the trimmings. For something a little different, we put together a symmetrical poolside wedding ceremony at the Flaxton Grove mansion. 

Summer Bridal Magazine

Free for you to download every quarter, our online bridal magazine is full of local wedding inspiration, so you can see exactly the kinds of outstanding weddings of world-class standards, which can be achieved right here on the Sunshine Coast. 

Every season we work with the best of the best local vendors to put together original inspiration shoots with creative themes and styling to help you towards dreaming up your own big day.

I can’t believe this is our 7th volume; it feels like just yesterday we launched our first. I must admit, I get just as excited as I did the very first time we loaded her up and let her loose on the interwebs. I still flick through her pages at least approximately five thousand times prior to release! 

This time I have been especially excited, as I have been working closely with our designer, Andrea, from Jaye Create, on a flash new layout. And I’ve also put together some new articles I have a hunch you will like just fine.

We found four of the most gorgeous real weddings around to share with you. There are two amazing, but very different Noosa weddings – one bohemian beach wedding, the other a resort wedding with classic modern vintage styling. There is a Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding with lots of little details, including a Lego theme! Yes we know that sounds more than a little strange for a wedding, but it was pulled off very cleverly and tastefully. And to round out the real wedding offerings, we have a full DIY affair in a private farm wedding with a hint of the hipster about it. 

As if that wasn’t enough rad wedding inspiration, we also have two styled shoots to share with you… one is a never-before-seen contemporary vintage shoot with a peach and tangerine colour palette (amazeballs!), from which we found our bee-yoo-ti-ful cover shot. The other takes you into the wilderness with lots of funky florals. 

Three of the features in the magazine also include a film link, so you can see even more of the awesomeness!

Just when we think we can’t love another magazine as much as the one we just created, along comes another incredible bunch of pages. It’s like having another baby – there is always more love to go around and we adore this new addition to our little magazine babies with all our little hearts! We hope you do, too.

More and more brides are requesting natural makeup, most specifically in the foundation department.  Natural makeup means soft eyes, lips and cheeks in shades of pinks, peaches or browns depending on your colouring.  There is a big trend towards vintage which in terms of makeup means soft muted smokey eyes or red lips.  If you’re getting married on the Sunshine Coast your makeup style will be guided by whether you’re getting married on the beach, hinterland, garden, etc.  Your makeup will also need to suit the style of your dress and your colourings so it is always a great idea to bring photos of your dress, jewellery and colour theme to your trial so your Makeup Artist can design a look considering the entire look of the wedding.
