Your backyard wedding reception venue is exactly the type of wedding and location for what I want for my wedding reception. Ive been searching for this type of house along the beach between Kawana and Caloundra for a rental that allows weddings! This is the first I’ve seen in this area.

Are you able to advise what the no. on Oceanic Dr this house is and which holiday rental company you went through??

It really is the perfect beach house wedding location, isn’t it! This wedding was at a stunning beach house along Oceanic Dve, however the lucky bride has told us that unfortunately this house is no longer available
for weddings.

We have searched quite extensively for venues like the one you are after because it is something we are asked quite often. We have spoken to several Real Estate Agencies, Holiday House Agencies and home owners and time after time we have been told that they will not rent their houses out for parties or weddings. There are a few reasons why they don’t allow weddings in these houses. The first is due to licensing laws and restrictions and the second is because in the past the houses have been left in such poor condition with parties so the owners now no longer allow any type of events. The beautiful couple in this blog post left the house in top condition, it’s just that the owners have decided to not rent it out anymore. This is such a shame because there really is such a big calling for this type of service.

I do know of a few mansions up in the Montville/Maleny region, however we haven’t come across another beach house like this one. I do have a few suggestions for you though. Have you tried calling a Wedding Planner? Wedding Planners often have special arrangements with local suppliers and can often secure deals that you wouldn’t normally be able to obtain yourself. One venue that did come to mind was “Surfair” at Coolum. It’s not a beach house as such, but it is a lovely venue overlooking the ocean. You can rent out the penthouse for weddings and the view from the rooftop is incredible!
