My partner likes to give me flowers every few weeks and lately he has been choosing bunches of daisies and carnations, I used to think these were a bit old fashioned but the ones I have at the moment are in gorgeous shades of pink, red & purple, they look lovely and brighten up my house, could work really well in a bridal bouquet.

I LOVE white freesias – my favourite flower for my bridal bouquet, very simple with exposed stems, and want antique dusty roses and soft green agavae.

CHOE – LOVE your idea of the agave, white freesias and dusty antique roses. Heaps of interest, but minimalistic. LOVE the idea. When is your wedding?
BEX – couldn’t agree with you more. I love using carnations to add ‘frilly’ interest to a bouquet, and daisies are an all time favourite, plus they last for ages!!
SANDY – you’d be amazed at what you can get out of season! I am an advocate for using what is IN season, but this year we have an imported Peonies since early May…which is completely ridiculous!! I’ve been using them heaps…they are more expensive because they are imported, but worth it if it’s what you really want for your wedding. Peonies are available in Australia from Tasmania, NSW and Victoria for about 2-3 weeks of the year in October. They come in a manic array of colours, my favourite being the chocolate and coral ones~ When is your wedding?
