The Prettiest of Maleny Wedding Days

7th April 2013

Heath broke the golden rule. It’s an honour code amongst mates – do not date your mate’s sister. Actually, Heath and Emily were great friends and joined at the hip, even before they started dating, so Emily’s big brother didn’t seem to mind too much.  Seven is the lucky number for this pretty pair – they were dating for seven months before Heath popped the question, and then they spent a further seven months planning their Maleny wedding. Well… Emily planned the wedding, anyway. Heath was more than happy to hand over the reigns, so the theme was left up…

Upstyles for Brunette Brides

7th March 2013

Last week we brought you a fine selection of bridal upstyles for blondes, so today we thought we had better do the brunette brides a solid and show you some gorgeous styles for our dark-haired beauties as well.  There is nothing more elegant than glossy locks expertly curled, twisted, braided and pinned atop a bride’s crown for her wedding day. Whether it be a high structured bun, a low chignon, or some cascading curls pulled to the side for a striking asymmetrical style, each of these pretty bridal hair styles has their place in a Sunshine Coast wedding. We love…

House of Laurels is a wedding reception venue, ceremony venue and luxury accommodation all in one. There is plenty of space available in the main house and guest houses for many, if not all of your bridal party and wedding guests.  There is an innate romantic feel to the venue, the lavish rooms boast fifteen foot ceilings elegantly lit with antique chandeliers, marble spa bathrooms and French doors opening up to the veranda that leads to perfumed manicured gardens.  Wedding ceremonies can be held in the beautiful gardens, while a marquee and pavillion reception allows you plenty of space to entertain…

Simple White Wedding in Maleny

7th October 2012

Despite bucketing rain on their Sunshine Coast wedding day, Chloe and Peter laughed, cried and loved the day away with nothing but joy. Almost exactly one year to the day after their engagement, Chloe and Peter held their nuptials in Maleny. There they were wed inside the gorgeous on site chapel, which boasts one of the best views of the hinterland.  //// Artography made the most of both the dreary day and the venue itself, by photographing the bridal party inside the beautiful chapel. When rain eased, they were taken to the iconic One Tree Hill, and even got amongst some handsome-looking…

Ooh, pretty! Today's hair design of the week is actually not one, but FOUR beautiful hair styles by wonderful Sunshine Coast hair stylist, Taryn Smith Hair & Makeup. When we saw these lovely pics by Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding photographer, Artography, we just had to share the bridesmaids' 'dos as well. Aren't they simply splendid?  Sunshine Coast brides love having Taryn around on their wedding day morning for her beautiful personality as much as her amazing hair styling talents. Having had Taryn work with us on some photo shoots for The Bride's Tree online bridal magazine, we can certainly attest…

Fox Wedding in Maleny

6th August 2012

Kristen and Cameron Fox, who live on the north side of Brisbane, wanted to choose a place to be married that wasn’t too far for either their Brisbane-based family and friends, and also their Gympie-based family. A fair compromise and beautiful choice was to have a Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding.  When choosing a venue, they wanted to have everything in one place, so their guests could enjoy the day without travelling between the ceremony and reception. And so they chose to hold their wedding in the gorgeous tropical rainforest gardens of Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding venue, The Beerwah Hideaway. When…
