The location for this styled shoot was Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar, and what we find most delightful about this Noosa wedding venue is that it’s entirely possible to have a pretty garden wedding and an absolute waterfront wedding in one. 

The soft pastel florals by Buderim Floral Art perfectly complement the location and the amazing concept styling by Sunshine Coast boutique wedding styling and planning agency, Lovebird Weddings.

In our most recent free online magazine, we have shared four of the most stunningly beautiful Sunshine Coast weddings. Of course I never have enough pages to show off all of the lovely little details. So today I am sharing with you a whole gallery full of images from Tara and Henry’s Noosa Wedding. 

Lovebird Weddings took the bride’s desire to have a garden party-style wedding at the beach and ran with it. They created a pretty pastel affair with sweet vintage-inspired details. They perfectly combined a classic fresh floral theme in pretty pastels with the natural beach setting. They married them, if you will, and the two concepts are nothing if not living happily ever after in these images by Karen Buckle Photography.

Amanda sent Nate a kiss online and one year later they had their first kiss as husband and wife. When love strikes, there’s no holding back. And by their own account, they were made for each other. 

60 of their family and friends joined them at Maleny Manor for their dream wedding, which they planned together  from top to bottom, relishing in every last detail, and getting their DIY on with projects, which included melting wax, manipulating chicken wire and sanding their little hearts out. 

Their special day came together gloriously, and Karen Buckle was there to capture each and every last beautiful moment and all the pretty little details, like the amazing flowers by Mondo Floral Designs. 

“The two most important things to us at the very start was making sure we had the perfect venue and photographer – which we most definitely ended up with!  With those sorted we started working through all the elements of the day, making sure that every element got just as much priority as the next.”

“Nate and I did most of the planning ourselves; we found it easier as it was us who needed to make decisions and it was easier to keep everything in line with our vision.”

“We had some photos on location at the Manor, followed by a sunset session on Mountain View Rd in a cow patty laden paddock (gumboots were a great choice!). But it was so worth it – the view with the Glasshouse Mountains in the background is priceless.”

“I really believe we were made for each other! We make such a great team – we are stronger together than apart. Everything just works out for us, just as it’s meant to be.”

DIY: Soy wax candles for bombonnieres, hessian table runners, a timber entrance sign and a timber card letter box out of recycled timber, and a seating plan out of an old 8-pane window we found at a demolitions place. We removed the glass, gave it a distressed look by sanding it back, secured chicken wire to the back, and used little pegs to hang table plans in each pane. I loved doing our DIY projects!

Recently we put together a styled shoot at the Sunshine Coast’s newest purpose-built waterfront wedding venue, The Lakehouse, for Volume 8 of our free quarterly online bridal magazine. We had a sensational team of wedding professionals lend their time and expertise to create an elegant, opulent inspirational wedding shoot. 

There were far too many crazy beautiful photos by the incomparable Karen Buckle to fit into our online magazine, so here are a few of the shots that simply couldn’t have gone unseen! 

The Lakehouse courtyard was decked out with beautiful natural woods and fibres by stylists from Lovebird Weddings. The floral arrangements, including the impressive flower-littered vine, which adorned the top of the circular fountain, were by none other than Ginger Lily & Rose Floral Studio. 

Ivy Invite created a totally lust-worthy nautical invitation suite especially for our shoot

Lovebird Weddings and Ginger Lily & Rose Floral Studio worked together to create the image of perfection as far as reception tables go. 

Natalie Hunter Makeup Artist designed a makeup look rich in colour to suit our opulent wedding theme. 

White Lily Couture dressed our bride in a stunning ombre wedding dress and hair piece, which fit perfectly around the elegant bun styled by Coastal Style Hairdressing

Suits Direct dressed our groom in a classic black tux.

“All our family and friends were very supportive but we did much of the planning ourselves or by email and phone. I Googled suppliers and followed their blogs and read their Facebook pages. In the end I went with the suppliers that seemed like they would understand my vision, I didn’t worry about getting three quotes and checking twice. It was about choosing the people I really wanted to work with.”

The girls will attest that I had so many ideas; it took a while to scale everything back to a colour palette and feel I was happy with. In the end it came to be lots of white, with touches of colour in the flowers and other accents. Light and elegant was how it turned out.”

Being that your wedding cake is the centrepiece to your wedding, the culmination of the celebration that is your joining in marriage with the love of your life, you want to get it right and make an impact. This cake is fun and classy at the same time, and just look at the perfection that is the yellow rose made from icing! It takes talent, patience, and a whole lot of practice to be able to master such perfection.
