How to Have a Rooftop Wedding Reception

Sally Townsend — Sat, 11 Mar 2017 21:09:34 +0000

If you’re looking for an ultimately chic way to celebrate your Sunshine Coast wedding, having a rooftop soiree would most definitely fit the bill. A rooftop wedding reception atBeach Club Resort Mooloolaba brings new heights to wedding celebrations – in more ways than one!

While you could design a classically elegant soiree on the rooftop in Mooloolaba, which lends itself to any theme with sleek lines, decking and astro turf, for our Summer magazine shoot we decided to throw a seriously fun and colourful soiree into the space. Palm Springs was the perfect theme for a Summer wedding on the rooftop with pastels and brights coming together in perfect harmony.

Catering for our rooftop wedding reception was handled by Capelli Foods, who design menus with you personally when you book them for your wedding.

Above we have… Chargrilled Lamb Loin, Potato Dauphinoise, Asparagus and Danish Feta, Capelli Red Wine Jus

Local Organic Bendele Farm Duck Breast, Potato Galette, Spicy Slaw Salad, Pomegranates, Pistachios, Orange Segments and shaved Jamon

Capelli’s Canape Menu

Salmon cube with Ponzu Pipette

Crispy Wonton, Chicken Laab and Kimchi

Tostada with Corn and Avo Salsa, Seared Tuna

Hiramasa Kingfish with Finger Lime Salsa

Here’s where the fun part comes in… balloon sculpture and donut wall! Made to Match Events constructed the balloon feature made with round balloons and accented with ferns in keeping with our Palm Springs theme. Chocolate 2 Chilli decorated the delicious (yes, we tried them!) donuts transforming this modest dessert into a work of art and culinary delight. Love on the Shoreline | Palm Springs Wedding Magazine Shoot

Sally Townsend — Sun, 05 Mar 2017 07:00:25 +0000

There were so many seriously stunning images we simply could not fit in the pages of our summer online magazine, so today I’m sharing never-before-seen images from our Palm Springs wedding shoot here on the blog.

The shoot took place on location at Mooloolaba Beach, where natural beauty is the only inspiration you really need. In this central Sunshine Coast beach spot the photo ops are endless with the headland providing a horizon backdrop with plenty of pandanus trees to peek through, while you’re at it.

Our lovely Palm Springs wedding models, Kate and Chris, showed us what love on the shoreline of Mooloolaba Beach should look like. Kate was dressed in a blush Judy Copley Bridal gown with ruffles that looked the part against the foam on the sandy shore. Chris was dressed from head to toe by Suits Direct .
