After 12 months and 20 days of careful planning (but who’s counting?), Natalie and Josh tied the knot overlooking the Noosa River. They were married in the park beside the restaurant venue as 100 guests celebrated their love and union. Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar is renowned for its delicious Italian cuisine and serene Noosa River setting.

“I wore a brooch of my Grandma’s on the front of my bouquet. This meant so much to me after losing her only months before our wedding. I knew that she was with me all day!

“I bought Josh a watch which he wore on the day, and Josh bought me a toiletries bag from The Daily Edited with my new initials!

“Our family and friends were integral on our wedding day, as they made our dreams become a reality by decorating our venue just as we had imagined.”

“Our main priority was to find a venue that was convenient for our guests, with a vibrant atmosphere, and amazing food and drinks – I think we achieved just that.

Noosa Waterfront Restaurant are the masters of incredible Italian food. We opted for share plates for entrée and main, with cheese and macaron towers for dessert.”

The pair planned their Noosa wedding to kick off with a ceremony at Casuarina Gardens with their 35 guests looking on as they stood by their wedding party of six close friends and committed their vows to one another in the prettiest of natural settings. After the official part of the proceedings, the whole clan made their way toNoosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar for a fine dining reception.

 Flowers by Willow Bud   “I was heading overseas for four months shortly after we got engaged and I knew I wanted to get married early 2016 so we were on a tight schedule for the big ticket items: location, venue, celebrant and photographer. I actually thought the dress could wait until i returned but soon learnt, that needed to be purchased early too!”  “My bridesmaids were fantastic; although bridesmaids dress shopping was probably one of the most stressful parts of the planning! Between managing budget, changing of minds and a pregnancy, it was a tricky task. We got there in the end though and they all looked gorgeous.”  “We knew we wanted a small, destination feel wedding. An event were we could celebrate over several days with our closest family and friends.”  “I thoroughly enjoyed wedding planning, it was so much fun but be prepared for it to dominate, so it is a little sad when it’s all over! I’d recommend having a little something else to plan and look forward to in the weeks or months following your wedding. We had a trip to Scotland four months post wedding so planning that kept me busy!​”

Biggest splurge:I feel we splurged on the Flowers and a Videographer but i wouldn’t change that for the world. Our flowers were devine and the videos are a fabulous keepsake to share and watch for years to come.

Best money-saver: Probably the groomsmen attire. The boys provided their own suits!

A wedding reception at the Noosa Waterfront Restaurant and Bar is an occasion to remember always for its wonderful location, food, wines, service and warm atmosphere. Cocktail packages for up to 150 guests start at just $89 per person, and sit-down dinner packages start at $99 per person, while you can choose one of their five-hour beverage packages that start at $55 per person.

There are many beautiful places close by to hold your wedding ceremony, many within walking distance, so you and your guests can relax without the concern of transportation between wedding day locations. The closest being right next door on the private lawn area, beside the Noosa River and surrounded by the magnificent Moreton Bay Fig Trees, with their enormous shady boughs supporting the evergreen foliage. This iconic tree is one of the reasons Noosa is so named, meaning “Shady Place”, an Aboriginal term.  Your guests will enjoy the distinct appeal of the tranquil riverside setting and you will discover the perfect setting for your wedding photography.

Are there any other restrictions we need to be aware of?

The park next door is perfect for a ceremony. A permit needs to be booked through Sunshine Coast Regional Council. Most brides enter this area by walking over the small foot bridge over the river and into the park. Beautiful!
