Let’s talk about some of the most absolutely beautiful waterfront Sunshine Coast reception venues. After all ours is a most enviable coastline, each headland bringing with it a unique spectacularity. And then of course there are the vast lakes and rivers never-ending with their serene disposition.

To help you navigate the happiest of challenges to find your perfect waterfront wedding venue, we have rounded up five of the most beautiful with the best food, service, and of course location. Without any further ado, in no particular order…

Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar (pictured above)

Set on the banks of the Noosa River, a wedding reception at the Noosa Waterfront Restaurant and Bar is an occasion to remember always for its wonderful location, food, wines, service and warm atmosphere. There are many lovely spots nearby to hold your ceremony. Our favourite is under the boughs of the Moreton Bay Fig Trees.

Ricky’s River Bar & Restaurant

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard a Sunshine Coast local name Ricky’s as their favourite restaurant, well I’d have enough to pay for a three course meal, the wines to match and the cab ride home. I can assure you I’d thoroughly enjoy the fresh local produce and fine dining experience. This one is most definitely for the foodies among us.

The Lakehouse – Sunshine Coast

Centrally located and purpose-built, The Lakehouse operates as a wedding venue exclusively with its own wedding coordinators carrying out perfect wedding days every week year round. Menu and dining style options range from family sharing platters to roving degustation. The courtyard on site is a lovely spot to hold a ceremony overlooking the lake, or if you prefer there are beach and chapel options mere minutes either side.

The Surf Club Sunshine Beach

This venue is much more than just a surf club. It is proud owner of million dollar panoramic views from the restaurant deck with plenty of space for all your guests to celebrate, and best of all it is known for its affordability. Ceremonies can be held on the sands below beside the shore, or on The Surf Club lawn overlooking the beach.

Noosa Boathouse

There’s no need to drive to your wedding in a mere primitive automobile when instead both you and your guests can arrive via boat! Noosa Boathouse is located on the Noosa Marina, and can accommodate large groups of up to 120 guests for a sit down dinner, or up to 200 for a cocktail-style reception.

Gabby loves Jeffrey: Chapel wedding on the Sunshine Coast

Pretty little Gabby married her handsome fella, Jeffrey, in a charming ceremony inside amongst all the classic beauty of Annabella The Wedding Chapel.

Their nuptials were followed by a reception by the water at The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast, where the couple and their guests danced the night away.

Every special moment was captured by Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, Emma Nayler Photographer.

Let there be light! Gabby and Jeffrey found their perfect place for a chapel wedding on the Sunshine Coast in Annabella The Wedding Chapel.

Natalie loves Jared

The sheer happiness this couple had in marrying one another is beautifully evident. The groom, Jared, will absolutely melt your heart as he is filled with unbridled emotion during their ceremony. Bride, Natalie, is clearly smitten with her new husband as they embrace after their vows at their Maroochydore waterfront wedding.

The whole bridal party seem like a whole lot of fun as they frolic on the beach for their photo session with Sunshine Coast photographer, Emma Nayler Photographer. After their beach fun, they all went back to the reception venue for canapés and mingling with the guests, then right on twilight the couple and Emma managed to sneak back down to the jetty for a few last shots. This meant they were able to sneak in extra time with their guests with compromising on getting those highly coveted perfect dreamy last light of the day photos.
