However, I have a little confession to make. See, I’ve never been particularly fond of the whole cupcakes at weddings thing. In honesty, I’ve always seen these particular little baked delicacies as belonging more in kids’ parties, baby showers and the like, not weddings. I don’t know why I hold this deep-seated baked-goods bigotry, perpetuating a sad segregation of sweets.

I’ve known it’s wrong for some time now, so I decided it was time to redeem myself by setting out to prove myself wrong. I wanted to find some decorative desserts that would break down my barriers, and bring me forth into a new world of iced delights, even I – a wedding cake snob – deems fit for nuptials.
