Four years ago, Danyelle spotted Trent at a youth church event when she was in year 12. She thought he was the most handsome man she had ever seen, and instantly fell in love. They were both a little shy to make the first move to speak to one another, but they managed to curb the nerves. After their first meeting, they got to know one another some more and it wasn’t long before Danyelle says she knew he was The One. And the rest is history, as they say… 

Their wedding ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Maleny was full of heartfelt tears (mostly the groom’s), lots of smiles (mostly the bride’s), and lots of faith, starting with the Pastor’s, who officiated his niece’s marriage to her one and only.

“The morning of the wedding I was so chilled everything was happening at once but I just kept laughing with my girls and we had music going dancing laughing. There’s no point at all stressing as everything is already planned all you can do now is go with the moments and enjoy them!”     “I remember the reveal to my dad… he turned around and straight away lost it, started crying his eyes out with tears. This was incredible for me because no one, not even my mum, had ever seen my dad shed a tear and here he was balling his eyes out over me. It made me feel so loved and special.”“The best thing I would say was just realising how much impacting love was there that day.”   “As I was walking down the aisle, there was my groom, Trent, also lost it crying his eyes out. The poor best man didn’t have enough tissues, as he didn’t think Trent would cry so much, so my uncle, who was the pastor, had to give him his hanky.” “Don’t be afraid to ask for help. I was very blessed and had a lot of support from my bridesmaids and my mum, she was one of my biggest supports, without her my wedding wouldn’t of been the same! But most of all just enjoy the excitement and try not to worry.”  “To be completely honest I would not change a single thing and I mean it one hundred percent. It was the most relaxing amazing beautiful enjoyable day ever and I love reliving the memories in my head over and over!”“(The proposal) was absolutely amazing; at our favorite beach spot on the cliff over looking the beach and he had four candles set around us. He had also brought a blanket for us to sit in and cuddle, while he started reading me a love poem from a book I had recently given him. As I was just thinking, ‘This is so dreamy’, he then gets down on one knee and I swear I couldn’t feel my heart beat, I had butterflies all over when he asked me, ‘Danyelle, wlll you marry me?’ I leaped with joy and said, ‘Of course I will!’ and hugged him so tight we almost lost the ring down the cliff.” “I found it very had to cut people off our wedding list. It came down to us deciding not to have kids at our wedding which did upset a few people but it all worked out in the end.”

The gardens themselves are meticulously maintained and delightfully designed, but they are also set in a prime position to capture a perfect view of the Glasshouse Mountains.

Seven is the lucky number for this pretty pair – they were dating for seven months before Heath popped the question, and then they spent a further seven months planning their Maleny wedding. Well… Emily planned the wedding, anyway. Heath was more than happy to hand over the reigns, so the theme was left up to the soon-to-be Mrs, who themed their special day to fit with the romance and elegance of their hinterland wedding venue, House of Laurels. 

This super pretty day was full of fun and laughter, and even a set of split pants to lighten the mood – in the bridal party and no less. Fortunately, this group didn’t need to look far to find the humour in such a wedding day hitch! 

Emily and Heath shared a most wonderful day, split pants and all. Startlingly stunning images ensued from none other than Sunshine Coast wedding photographers, Artography.

“Our day actually went off without a hitch! However, one of heaths groomsmen did split his pants as a result from a mid air jump photo! Very funny! Luckily the whole bridal party had such a great sense of humour, it just added to our hilarious afternoon.“

“My husband and I met through my older brother, Chris… Heath broke the golden rule – don’t date your mate’s sister!”

“Photos were taken in the garden at the venue, paddocks around the venue and grass hills on mountain view road, Maleny ( backing onto the glass house mountains.)“

“Our first and biggest priority for the wedding was all about the venue: We wanted one that catered for the ceremony, reception and provided accommodation for friends and family who all had to travel for the occasion.”

“Heath happily gave me full control of themes and colour scheme.It wasn’t until after seeing how sweet the venue was, with its country elegance, vintage garden feel. I decided on the classic pale pinks and champagne colours.”

“My mother was an absolute lifesaver when it came to putting plans into actions with our wedding; the angel spent weeks collecting the final touches,ordering flowers, hand writing place cards and bagging our bomboniere lollies.”

“Music was a combination of a wedding singer ‘Chris Hutchison’ ( great covers of both new and old songs) and pre-made playlists for our best man to DJ later in the night.”
