The engagement shoot we are sharing with you today has something a little bit extra special. Not only is this loved up couple absolutely adorable, but the sweet little details, styled to perfection by Jo from Coast to Country Wedding and Events make for a real treat. 

Their shoot took place at Pomodoras on Obi in the Sunshine Coast hinterland in a stunning forrest setting, making for a very intimate and romantic feel. Above the couple are encircled by tealight candles at twilight. Below, see more images of a romantic picnic and even a tree-hung chandelier as the couple lounge on a French provincial sofa. Magical! 

Their love was captured by Renee Towers Photography – what a brilliant keepsake for the couple to have of their engagement!

This styled shoot has been lovingly photographed by someone who I would describe as a true artist and perfectionist. I am of course referring to Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, Matt Rowe Photography. And oh boy, did his eye go a-wandering over some spectacular sights at Maleny Botanic Gardens. The gardens themselves are meticulously maintained and delightfully designed, but they are also set in a prime position to capture a perfect view of the Glasshouse Mountains. 

Just try not to fall head over heels with this shoot. Try and fail, of course!

Amanda and Trev were highschool sweethearts, who fell truly, madly, deeply and hopelessly in love over exchange of sweet childish love letters. Those same love letters are the ones Trev bundled together in a vintage jewellery box for Amanda to open on her wedding day morning. How she turned up to her wedding ceremony without puffy eyes, we will never know!

This beautiful couple had a long engagement of four years before they finally tied the knot at gorgeous Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding venue, Flaxton Gardens. It was a perfect day, with their ceremony overlooking the gorgeous hinterland, which they say was their favourite part of the day. Kristy Ellis of Weddings with Kristy was their wedding celebrant, who engaged their guests and helped them to have the emotional, yet fun ceremony they had always wanted. 

We absolutely adore the colour scheme Amanda chose – the fresh white with hints of blue and coral are simply stunning and perfect for a Sunshine Coast wedding. We particularly love the florals by Ginger Lily & Rose Floral Studio with its nod to the colour theme in such a creative and intricate fashion. Love, love, love!

DIY: We made a chalkboard sign the day before our wedding of our love story and our children illustrated it  with pictures of themselves playing guitars and love hearts. As young parents, taking some time out for themselves with a photo shoot was a beautiful way to celebrate their love and engagement. They started at the park, then nearby they found some funky rustic sheds and got all funky about things and ended up with some awesome images to treasure forever.

This pair were more than happy trekking through long grass, sometimes way above their heads! Darren is in Land Management and Kylie is a Nutritionist, so they are at one with nature – not so much for our Alan, who was quite pleased the country folk were there to forge the way ahead, being not too fond of snake encounters! Although he admits that he quite regularly finds himself in these situations, and he hasn’t spotted one in three years. 

Alan says of shooting Kylie and Darren…

“Their connection was awesome, I’m lucky in my job to meet so many couples that have this synergy that is almost tangible, and these two had it in spades. Despite being nervous about being photographed for their wedding day, which is what these shoots are all about, they were beautiful to spend time with and photograph.“

Kylie and Darren have since had their beautiful wedding in April. It was a backyard wedding, and with rain and all, it was perfect. You can take a peek at it on Alan Hughes’ blog.
