One of our favourite Sunshine Coast wedding photographers, Matt Rowe, was Jade and Khyle’s photographer not only for their beautiful hinterland wedding, but also for this here engagement shoot. 

The Proposal in the words of the bride… 

“Khyle secretly planned the entire thing, he took me out on a “lunch date” in Montville to my favourite café and it turned into a full day of my favourite activities! We explored all the little boutiques, visited all the beautiful lookout points, he took me on a rainforest walk through Mary Cairncross Park, and finished with a picnic at Obi Obi creek.

He took me across the creek to a little grass island, with the creek running either side. There were river stones laid out in a heart shape with our initials. It was so beautiful! He had everything – champagne, strawberries and cherries dipped in chocolate. It was amazing.

Then he pulled out a “late Christmas present”. A beautifully wrapped box with red ribbon… I opened it, and inside was another, and another. Until I finally got to the last box and there was nothing in it! He laughed, and pulled out a small box from the picnic basket, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It really was the happiest day of my life.” Beauty in simplicity – the bride’s adoring smile says it all… … and a little cheekiness with a cute impromptu prop is an opportunity that can’t be missed.   Oh and how the heavens opened up as this moment was captured. Seriously – where are the doves? Where’s the baby deer and chubby little bunnies? Frankly it wouldn’t surprise me at all if a unicorn cantered off a rainbow at this point.

Puppies! We love puppies and love, and indeed puppy love, here at The Bride’s Tree. How gorgeous are Frankie and Archie, the French Bulldog fur babies of Penny and Nathan. So deeply adored are these pooches, that their parents phoned their photographer, Tanya, of Chesterton Smith Photography, to ask if it was alright to bring them along to their engagement shoot on the Sunshine Coast. Unsurprisingly, it was a resounding yes from Tanya!

On their first day, Mat turned up with a bottle of Yellow and some sandwiches that were looking a bit poorly, much to the dismay of self-confessed wine snob, Megan. Luckily she was already familiar with Mat’s great personality, or that could have been a deal breaker! 

This is a beautiful story of friends becoming lovers, and seven years, a house and a puppy named Rampage, they are now are soon to be husband and wife in 2015. The couple recently became engaged in a glass-bottomed cable car on a trip to Hong Kong, and so they organised a fun engagement shoot with Life and Love Photography. 

Megan and Mat recreated their picnic first date, complete with a bottle of Yellow… but Megan may have snuck in a bottle of Moet for actual drinking! They brought Rampage along for the shoot in Bli Bli, and he may just be the cutest pup on the planet! Seriously, their e-session photo album is worth checking out just for the puppy love! Oh, and the cute styling, gorgeous couple and rad photos, too!

If you’re familiar with Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, Emma Nayler, you have to know her somewhat famous pooches, Pepper and Bueno, too. These fur babies of the sausage variety joined their mum and dad for a very special occasion recently – their engagement shoot! 

Emma is marrying her bearded babe next year, but in the meantime donned a white dress to celebrate her engagement to Adam. Now the big question is… Who would this super talented wedding photographer choose to be her own photographer for her wedding day? The also very very talented, and fellow dog-lover, Lani Carter. From the look of these amazing images, she made the right choice! 

Emma also brought together a team of awesome pros to make her engagement shoot an absolutely stunning result they will proudly hang in their home.
