“Every now and then I bribe my dogs with cheese and in exchange, they tolerate me doing pretty much anything with them for a few minutes. Because I am a documentary style photographer at heart, sometimes it’s nice to stretch my brain in the other direction and photograph them in a posed way – but definitely not in a light and fluffy way. They have grown up in front of the camera, which makes them very easy to photograph – they definitely let me know when they’ve had enough though! Bless them.”

“As an animal lover I always wanted a dog, but as we grew up on acreage surrounded by wildlife my parents never let us get one. Years later Pixie came into our lives and we were all smitten. She was a smart Jack Russell, who ruled with an iron paw. Everyone said we were all a bit over the top with her but she brought us all so much joy so we don’t regret a single second of the amount of love we gave her. Sadly Pixie left us a few years ago and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. I feel so blessed to have had such an amazing being in my life, and for all the pain of losing her, our lives are certainly so much richer and brighter from having had her in it.”

Just for fun today, we are playing a game here on The Bride’s Tree. It’s called Guess Whose Dog? As you can imagine, the canine-loving photographers on the Sunshine Coast have the most gorgeous pics of their best pals. If you love a furry friend photo oggling sesh, you are going to flip out!

These guys are quite famous, they even have their own Facebook page!  They have had so much coverage, they know just what to do when they see that camera coming. 

A little snuggle bunny is this little guy, who goes everywhere with his photographer bestie.

This cutie has two little humans to play with, lucky girl!

These little girls are the best of friends. One of them was rescued by her photographer owner from Daschund Rescue Australia.

Isn’t she glorious! The sweetest face! And from what we have heard from her photographer owner, she is a right sook. 

This gorgeous little gal is no longer with us, but she is still very much loved by her photographer best pal.

Friday was all kinds of fabulous with an ultra-glamorous 1920's Great Gatsby-inspired styled high tea wedding shoot from a new to the Sunshine Coast stylist and florist, fresh off the boat from Canada

Monday we were thrilled to once again show you a beautifully photographed wedding by none other than the amazing Luke Going. This Maleny wedding was something a little bit different with bridal party photos taken on pristine traditional land. 

Tuesday was another day for thing finding, as our resident thing finder, Hayley, went hunting for a creative placecard and guest book idea of the wooden variety.

Wednesday was super exciting, because we shared with you how to have your own intimate wedding at the multiple award-winning Maleny Manor for as little as $2000 with the release of their new elopement packages. 

One savvy Sunshine Coast bride shared all her best tips on how to stick to your wedding budget, while still having the wedding of your dreams, on Thursday. 

Cotton Tree is one of The Bride's Tree team's fave spots on the Sunshine Coast, and also a lovely place to hold a waterfront wedding ceremony. That's why it was our Gallery of the Week on Friday.
