Maroochydore Wedding Planned in Just Six Weeks!

When Liesl and Kai discovered they were expecting twins three days after becoming engaged, they didn’t see the point in mucking around. So they spent six short weeks planning a simple Sunshine Coast wedding. Their ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Buderim, followed by a cocktail-style reception with canapes for their 140 guests at Maroochy Surf Club, Maroochydore.

Having spent a blissful seven years prior to the engagement together, Liesl and Kai knew that all that mattered to them for their wedding day was to have all their family and friends present, and make it a hell of a party with loads of fun and a relaxed atmosphere. That’s just what they got!

Liesl was one very glowing bride on her wedding day, (for more reasons than one!), and her contagious grin shows just what a fabulous time she had on the day she married her love, and father of her belly babes. The pair hail from the Sunshine Coast, and while they now reside on the Gold Coast, being married in this part of the world wasn’t even a question.

Melissa Jean Photography is responsible, and should be held accountable, for the gorgeous images of this simple, pretty and fun wedding day on June 11. 2011. All of the other local supplier details are below the photos.

"My aunt played the organ at the church."

"The plan was to use a park in buderim but it was an overcast day and we ran out of light so we used the beach at Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland. It was overcast, cold and raining but it didn't matter at all!"

"Honesty binds us together as a couple."
