Weekly Round Up

20th April 2013

We learnt a little something new this week from Sunshine Coast wedding industry veterans from Maleny Manor. Apparently, some brides forego the traditional bouquet toss for all the single ladies to scramble for in favour of another custom. They give their bouquet to the longest married couple in the room, and then ask said couple to share their best advice with the newlyweds! What a fabulous idea! If we didn't follow Maleny Manor on Facebook, we may not have been so fortunate to learn this!  So, what else is new? We're glad you have asked. From now on, each Sunday…

Wedding Crooner

16th April 2013

Wayne Wiltshire is not just a wedding singer. Oh no, he’s a wedding crooner of the most suave variety! He looks like Daryl Braithwaite and sounds like Michael Buble – what a winning combination!  This versatile entertainer does a solo act for the more mellow occasion and also plays in his Wow Session Band, which is a really high energy musical entertainment crowd-pleasing experience, that adds something extra fun to your Sunshine Coast wedding. We actually really love his Jazz Duo, because it gives you the best of both worlds – the ambient dinner music with crooning galore, and then…

Stop Motion Engagement

15th April 2013

In any profession, you are only as good as the risks you take and the new things you try. Without a little bit of fear of what you’re doing, you can’t move forward. And so it was with the slightest bit of trepidation Shawn from Sabra Creative Photography took a swing at creating a stop motion clip for one of her fabulous bridal couples as their engagement shoot.  Stop motion is where you take a stack of photographs of one event and stitch them together to create a film-like presentation. Never having done this before, Shawn picked a couple of good-looking…

Hastings Street Resort Wedding

14th April 2013

Callan proposed to Sarah at the beach. They spend a good deal of their time at the beach, and so of course they wanted their wedding to take place at the beach, reflecting their lives together.  The ultimate beach wedding destination is of course Queensland’s famous Noosa, so Sarah and Callan chose a wedding venue right in the heart of Noosa, being Outrigger Little Hastings Street. They were married by the pool, and barely escaped getting wet as if they jumped right in! A storm was brewing as they Sarah walked down the aisle, and crept closer as they said…

Photo of the Week

12th April 2013

An Australian bush wedding… how divine! There is something truly magical about eucalyptus trees at twilight. They tend to conjure up images of Australian bush fairies laying in wait to start frolicking and dancing the moment the sun goes down.  This bride certainly appears to be quite like the queen of the bush fairies. So very beautiful! Today’s photo of the week appeals to the little Aussie girls in us, and we simply adore the beauty of the photograph by Nicky Stone – Photographer at a Noosa North Shore Wedding.  Happy Saturday, lovely Sunshine Coast brides!
