Chole and Shane’s Private Beach House Wedding

TrembleWedding32

In an intimate gathering of only 37 of their closest family and friends, music lovers Chole and Shane were married overlooking the stunning secluded Sunshine Beach. They decided Friday afternoon drinks accompanied by the tunes of a local singer guitarist was the perfect way to celebrate their wedding day.

First Class Functions catered the affair  with a delicious cocktail menu, and hooked them up with the private beach house overlooking Sunshine Beach from the huge deck. A fantastic find for the couple hankering for a private beach house wedding on the Sunshine Coast.

Chilled bride, Chole, has one of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever heard for future brides…

“We stuck to ‘one request only’ when it came to our suppliers. We only asked for one song in particular for the ceremony and one must have photo from the photographer etcetera. You hire these guys because they are professionals and extraordinary in what they do. It meant that the day could flow and you weren’t waiting for a particular song… or the wrong song was played… or the photos weren’t taken in order. When you give up the control over those minor details you can enjoy it more, relax more and I promise there will be no awkward moments.”

“We did do things a little back to front, Shane and I woke up the morning of our wedding (in the same bed) and his sister, Amie had made this amazing breakfast platter for the two of us to share filled with croissants and fresh fruit and juices and it gave us a moment before the crazy started and it was one of the nicest moments of the entire day.”TrembleWedding17

“The day we got engaged was magical and it’s another romantic story for another day but we were on an eco-island resort and couldn’t phone home… so we sat down and started talking about the guest list. Whilst it’s all still sinking in we both knew that we wanted a laid back wedding that consisted of only family and the friends that are so close they pretty much are our family. So we had a list of 37 names, jotted down on the back of a beer coaster whilst we sipped on a glass of celebratory champagne. I still have it.”

“There was not a single dry eye in the house during the ceremony. It was so special that everyone was with us in the moment and celebrating our love.”

“I lived in Sunrise Beach when Shane and I first met, and moved to Brisbane so we both knew in our hearts that because all out first dates were at Sunshine Beach that it was the place to get married so I enquired about renting a house for a ceremony and reception.”

TrembleWedding32“Shane wasn’t too keen on a Friday wedding date at first, but it gave our guests time to do and half day at work and check in. We also had the ceremony at 4 o’clock to give them some extra time. It made sense to have a small ceremony and afternoon drinks on a Friday afternoon – what could be better than that.”TrembleWedding33
