Melissa loves Ben | Wedding at The Old Dairy Maleny

Ben proposed to Melissa on a night away in North Queensland at a waterfront French restaurant. My romantic mind, addled from Disney and rom coms, can’t help but wonder if he made an elaborate hide-the-ring-in-the-food plan? Was it nestled amongst the escargot? Perched atop a plate of petit fours? Or perhaps the classic bottom of the champagne glass gag? Next minute Sebastian and his crustacean band pipe up… oh, the possibilities

Hypothetical Disney-esque proposals aside, the wedding of Melissa and Ben was indeed a romantic affair. Held at The Old Dairy Maleny,  the pair said their vows in front of their 70 guests looking out over the rolling hills below.

Following the ceremony, they took a tour of Maleny with their photographer, Nicky Stone Photographer, who took advantage of the perfectly clear horizon and blue skies with a photo shoot at the iconic One Tree Hill.

The night was spent on site at The Old Dairy Maleny, where the couple brought in catering to feed their 70 guests. Keeping their Maleny wedding personal and fun, and sticking within their $25,000 budget was of utmost importance to Melissa and Ben.
