Engaged: Casey + Andrew on Emu Mountain

22nd June 2015

Recently we published a very lovely engagement shoot atop Mount Coolum with amazing views. Another local mountain that makes a delightful setting for an engagement shoot is Emu Mountain, which resides between Coolum and Peregian. It’s an easy trek and is abundant with unruly prettiness all along the way.  Casey and Andrew live in Toowoomba, but their love of the Ocean draws them to the Sunshine Coast frequently. Andrew proposed to Casey on a visit to Coolum, and so they planned their wedding here. It made sense to have a memorable engagement shoot in their favourite place, too. Their photographer,…

If you’re looking for an extra special local spot to have your engagment shoot, you can’t get more special than atop Mount Coolum. An icon of the Sunshine Coast, not to mention a good place to contemplate life while engaging in a bit of snuggle time.  Cute engaged couple Caitlin and Chris had been meaning to make the 40-minute trek up the mountain for some time when photographer Judd from Juddric Photography made mention of a want to do a shoot in higher altitude.  Loving it? See more of Caitlin + Chris’ engagement shoot.

Engaged: Penny and Nathan with Puppies!

29th April 2015

Puppies! We love puppies and love, and indeed puppy love, here at The Bride’s Tree. How gorgeous are Frankie and Archie, the French Bulldog fur babies of Penny and Nathan. So deeply adored are these pooches, that their parents phoned their photographer, Tanya, of Chesterton Smith Photography, to ask if it was alright to bring them along to their engagement shoot on the Sunshine Coast. Unsurprisingly, it was a resounding yes from Tanya!  I don’t know about you, but I adore Penny’s dress as much as this pup. Want to see more from this amazing shoot? Yes, of course you…

Engaged: Bec + Paul in the Forest

20th April 2015

When Paul took Bec to the Palazzo Versace for their sixth anniversary (swanky Paul, nicely done!), the little lady got more than she expected. The rose petals, candles and champagne were present, romancing up the joint, but the heartfelt proposal that followed took things to the next level.  Adriana Watson shot this earthy, organic engagement shoot in a local pine forest. Bec and Paul are due to wed at Spicers Clovelly later this year.  View Bec and Paul’s full engagement shoot album.

Alice in Wonderland Engagement Shoot in Buderim

14th April 2015

Of all the silly nonsense… an Alice in Wonderland themed engagement party? It seems everything it is, it isn’t, and contrarywise what it isn’t it should be. What a strange world we live in… Amy and Josh’s engagment shoot concept was born from Amy’s lifelong fascination with Alice in Wonderland. I must agree, we can all learn a lot from Lewis Carroll’s famous children’s book. Melanie McNiven helped the couple’s dream come to life with this shoot at Wirreanda Park in Buderim.  “I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night. Let me think. Was I the same when I…

Engaged: Megan and Mat’s Picnic

9th November 2014

On their first day, Mat turned up with a bottle of Yellow and some sandwiches that were looking a bit poorly, much to the dismay of self-confessed wine snob, Megan. Luckily she was already familiar with Mat’s great personality, or that could have been a deal breaker!  This is a beautiful story of friends becoming lovers, and seven years, a house and a puppy named Rampage, they are now are soon to be husband and wife in 2015. The couple recently became engaged in a glass-bottomed cable car on a trip to Hong Kong, and so they organised a…

Engaged: Emma & Adam

29th July 2014

If you’re familiar with Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, Emma Nayler, you have to know her somewhat famous pooches, Pepper and Bueno, too. These fur babies of the sausage variety joined their mum and dad for a very special occasion recently – their engagement shoot!  Emma is marrying her bearded babe next year, but in the meantime donned a white dress to celebrate her engagement to Adam. Now the big question is… Who would this super talented wedding photographer choose to be her own photographer for her wedding day? The also very very talented, and fellow dog-lover, Lani Carter.
