Head Table 101

12th August 2013

A seating chart at your actual wedding ceremony isn’t always necessary, traditionally all of the members attending in support of the bride sit on one side and the members attending to support the groom are on the other side. Many couples have chosen to abandon this tradition, as they believe that through their union, everyone is family so there shouldn’t be a seating plan. Now, putting together a seating arrangement for the reception is a whole other ball game. Does the happily married couple prefer a sweetheart table, or would they rather be surrounded by their bridal party, or their…

5th August 2013

As you all undoubtedly know, we put out our latest free online magazine last week, which features a styled shoot we are going nuts for. Coconuts! Like on a tropical island, because this is as close to a tropical island wedding you can have here on the Sunshine Coast.  There are pineapples, cocktails, a beach campfire, bongos and a guitar in the sand, and a Kombi. Oh, did I mention it is also retro-themed like a 1960’s Hawaiain Beach Resort destination wedding? Yah-huh! I know, almost too much awesome!  We were lucky enough to have the amazing team from Jasper &…

Real Wedding: Meagan & Will at Clio’s

1st August 2013

Meagan and Will were married in May of 2011, on what they describe as being an absolutely perfect day, both weather-wise and in terms of everything running smoothly. A dream come true for Meagan, who only wanted to be able to enjoy her big day without the worry of things going awry. How did she pull it off? 16 months of careful planning, my friends. Their classic romantic theme with roses, and pearls and lace detail, is a lesson in elegance and timelessness. But of course this is no typical couple – as you will see in the absolutely…

Have a Royal Wedding

28th July 2013

Purple is a rich colour. I mean, it’s the colour of royalty for sobbing out loud. Can you even get more rich than that? No, you cannot. Okay, technically you can, but this is not the point I’m making today. It’s not only rich, but also a feminine colour and could be perfect for your Sunshine Coast wedding if you’re after something pretty, but would like to steer clear of pink. And it’s a dreamy warming colour for a winter wedding. The good thing about purple is you can use it in so many ways when it comes to the…
