Real Wedding: Kate & Steve in Sunshine Beach

Spectacular weather, a gorgeous penthouse and a venue that is set on the beach, making for sensational views of Sunshine Beach.

Kate and Steve were married in a sweet ceremony amidst 90 of their closest family and friends, oh and a few whales, who showed up on the ocean horizon to wish the happy couple a successful marriage on their migration. On the lawn at The Surf Club Sunshine Beach, they said their I Dos, and followed it up with a reception but a few steps away, making the commute to the party stress-free for their guests.

“My good friend Lisa was an amazing help with everything from consulting with chefs and venue on food and wine, feeding the bridal party food before the wedding, bonbonnieres, menu design, wedding dress find and coordination from LA, hen’s tea party, and just general awesomeness.”

“We wanted our guests to really feel the love and take a bit of that home for themselves. We wanted an intimate, stylish but casual atmosphere with good food and service. We wanted to make a weekend of it and give people an excuse to get away.”

“You could really feel the love in the air. We had many of our guests tell us it was the best wedding they have been to and the food was awesome. They loved the European banquet style of share plates. We also had whales go past just before the ceremony.”

“The Sunshine Beach Surf Club was a fantastic venue, the chef Darren was amazing, Nichola the events coordinator was a huge help and delight.”
