The Perfect Words

17th December 2011

Fiona Roberts has been a Civil Marriage Celebrant on the Sunshine Coast since 2009, and in that time has officiated a whopping 80 Sunshine Coast weddings. Now she is so popular, she is being booked at a rate of 100 weddings per year, and up to two years in advance. She certainly knows her stuff. One thing she often finds when first meeting an engaged couple is they don't really have a firm idea of the proceedings of a ceremony.    Well lucky for us, Fiona was kind enough to share a rundown of the usual course of events…

Purple inspiration

12th December 2011

Purple is a rich colour. I mean, it's the colour of royalty for sobbing out loud. Can you even get more rich than that? No, you cannot. It's also a feminine colour and could be perfect for your Sunshine Coast wedding if you're after something pretty, but would like to steer clear of pink. The good thing about purple is you can use it in so many ways when it comes to the styling of your wedding. Of course you will want to dress your bridesmaids in the colour, and incorporate purple in your decorating, but you can also use…

Maleny Wedding in January

11th December 2011

On March 11, 2004, professional ballerina, Chantelle Kerr, was celebrating her 22nd birthday at a rehearsal with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. These days, she has another reason to celebrate this date. It was the very day she met her now husband, fellow ballet dancer, Andrew Simmons. It was Andrew's first day on the job, and he found himself joining in with the rendition of ‘Happy Birthday', and, being the gentleman he is, introducing himself to the Birthday Girl. And the rest is history. It seems keeping dates easy to remember is a running theme with this couple, because Andrew…

Of course you can have the stock standard ring amongst the bouquet pic, which is always nice, or you and your photographer can come up with something a little more creative.
