Maleny Wedding in January

11th December 2011

On March 11, 2004, professional ballerina, Chantelle Kerr, was celebrating her 22nd birthday at a rehearsal with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. These days, she has another reason to celebrate this date. It was the very day she met her now husband, fellow ballet dancer, Andrew Simmons. It was Andrew's first day on the job, and he found himself joining in with the rendition of ‘Happy Birthday', and, being the gentleman he is, introducing himself to the Birthday Girl. And the rest is history. It seems keeping dates easy to remember is a running theme with this couple, because Andrew…

The Rings Photo

10th December 2011

On your wedding day, your photographer will ask you to direct them to your bridal accessories, and while you're busily being fussed over, they will take some photos of your gear, including your engagement ring or wedding bands. Of course you can have the stock standard ring amongst the bouquet pic, which is always nice, or you and your photographer can come up with something a little more creative. Have a look at these pics for inspiration, most taken by awesome Sunshine Coast wedding photographers.    Damien Woods Photography  Jessica Lorren via Style Me Pretty And my favourite, taken in…

Country Vintage Wedding at Traveston

Keirra and Chris's country vintage-inspired wedding was a relaxed family celebration, where everyone pitched in to fill the John Deere with cases of beer, lay hay bales and the family dog roamed free, loving the guests' attention. Held at Keirra's family estate in Traveston here on the Sunshine Coast, it shows you really can have a stunning country wedding in these parts.  The ceremony and reception were impeccably styled by BeeDazzled Events, and each beautiful moment captured by Marcus Bell of Studio Impressions. During the ceremony, lighthearted moments were supplied by the bride and groom's adorable banter, and the whole…

Kawana Beach Backyard Wedding

1st December 2011

Andrea and Trent dreamt of a private, secluded backyard wedding… And also a beach wedding, and the one thing they were sure of was that they wanted their ceremony and reception in the one place. Their solution? Rent a house on Kawana Beach with a big backyard for their Sunshine Coast wedding on October 16, 2010.  They say their venue was perfect for the relaxed and unique wedding day they desired, and allowed complete seclusion, as the backyard not only had a gorgeous bunch of trees, giving the ceremony site a bush feel, but said trees lead out to…

My Dream Paris Proposal

30th November 2011

The Best Day of My Life… Until the Big White Wedding, that is! By Rachael Williams, Bride-to-be Guest Blogger "It was a day like no other, June 14, 2011. Brenton and I had embarked on our trip of a lifetime, exploring the city of love Paris, the UK (where I was born) and Toronto for my good friend’s wedding, where I was to be one of the bridesmaids. It doesn’t get much better than that… or so I thought! After 27 hours of travelling across three different time zones, 10 cups of hot chocolate, a minor delay and the odd…
