Each new year brings with it brand new brides-to-be. Your fellas are a romantic bunch – they just love the old Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve proposals, don’t they?

We love it, too, because it means we get to meet more lovely new brides getting set to plan their weddings here on the Sunshine Coast.

Right now I know you’re wondering exactly where the h*ck you should begin with this wedding planning caper? My friend, let me tell you in five points or less. Okay, no actually in precisely five points.

Find a venue

In order to set your date, the first and most important thing you need to do is find your venue. You may have an idea of the area you want to be married in, like Noosa or Maleny. You may only know you want a beach or a hinterland wedding. Maybe you’ve been dreaming of a Westival (wedding festival) for as long as Westivals have been a thing, and you just need to find the right place.

Whatever your ideas about where you’ll tie the knot and celebrate with your guests, getting that venue locked in is priority numero uno.

This is where The Bride’s Tree shines (quick brag.)

We created this Sunshine Coast Wedding Venue Guide especially to help you work out where you want to be married, which venue will  tick your style, budget, and foodie boxes.

Connect with other brides

We discovered all of you darling brides have a lot of questions, and you want to find people who relate… And here’s the key thing – that aren’t just trying to sell something to you!

This is how our Sunshine Coast Brides’ Tribe Facebook group differs from the rest – there are NO vendors allowed. So when you ask for advice or  a recommendation, you’re getting the goods from fellow brides, who have been through the same thing.

You also get daily access to the gals behind The Bride’s Tree – that’s us, Sally and Jenny! We jump in and offer our best tips and insider info where needed as well. We also give you early access to things like competitions, vendor specials and our quarterly magazine releases.

Get the right planning tools

The right planning tools are FREE planning tools, of course! We have some ready for you to download right here.

If you’re looking to indulge a little with a gorgeous wedding planning book, Bride Business Wedding Planner is the paper porn you’ve been hankering for.
