Susan + Ben’s Maleny Wedding

When London-based couple, Susan and Ben, first started planning their wedding, they had the grand idea of returning to Australia for cute beachside fancy barbeque wedding. The reality of DIY from afar set in, and they decided instead to look towards the true professionals to get their dream wedding off the ground. Luckily they had plenty of family and friends volunteer for the tough job of checking out venues – and testing the food!

In the end, the bride’s sister found the perfect Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding venue, Maleny Manor. The perfect photographer is obviously imperative to capture all the beauty of the location, alongside the special little details of the day. Enter documentary-style photographer Simon J Coulson. Last week we shared the couple’s fabulous stop motion wedding film created by Simon, and today we’re sharing all the incredible images and details from thier one perfect Maleny wedding day.

“As we live in London, our family and bridesmaid in Brisbane were heavily involved in visiting and taking photos of venues (as well as testing food) so that we could make a decision – that was a process that took the best part of six months!”

“Our ceremony was so filled with emotion – love, tears, and laughter, and being able to share that with our family and friends.”
