We kicked off the week on Monday with another fabulous guest blog from our resident thing finder, Hayley, from Wholehearted Studio Styling, who found a funky wedding gift idea.

Tuesday we introduced you to one of the Sunshine Coast's loveliest and most talented wedding photographers around! 

Wednesday we published a real wedding with so many pretty little details to look at, and amazing photography by Shane Shepherd Photography to boot.

On Thursday, Sally Townsend Makeup Artistry shared her Top 10 Bridal Beauty Tips to get your hair and skin wedding day-ready in no time. 

Friday was all kinds of fabulous with an ultra-glamorous 1920's Great Gatsby-inspired styled high tea wedding shoot from a new to the Sunshine Coast stylist and florist, fresh off the boat from Canada

They followed their church wedding with a reception for 100 guests at a private estate in Noosa with absolutely incredible views. The venue is beautiful, but a real blank canvas, that was transformed beautifully using lovely vintage styling with tea and the best sweets table we’ve seen! 

The happy couple’s Cooroy/Noosa wedding was shot by amazing Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, Shane Shepherd Photography. We love Shane’s funky, yet honest, organic style and ability to capture all the little moments so beautifully.

for us because we bought it all ourselves and therefore didn’t have to pay the usual bar

prices. Our desserts were made by a beautiful friend of mine and so that saved us a bit!

The beaches are free and belong to us all, but when it comes to your wedding ceremony, it’s imperative you get a permit. Of course you could not obtain a permit, just turn up on the day and hope for the best, but what if another bridal party turned up with a permit at the exact same time? Could end up a bit awkward, couldn’t it? Even worse, what if you turn up to say your oh so romantic vows in front of your nearest and dearest and it turns out there’s a surf carnival on?

The cost of a permit is $150.00, so it’s not going to put a huge dent in your wedding budget. The easiest way to do this is by visiting the Sunshine Coast Regional Council website and filling in an online application. You will then either receive a letter of approval or a phone call if there happens to be another event already booked on the date and time at your chosen location.

Ink Wedding Invitations did a brilliant job of our wedding invitations, tying in the lovely jade green colour with the styling and incorporating a feather, which again adds to the bohemian wedding theme.
