Quirky Country Wedding in the Hinterland

10th February 2014

Rebecca and Ryan met when Ryan moved in next door and popped his head in to say a neighbourly hello. And the rest is history, as they say! The pair decided to share more than a postcode. They formed a life, made a beautiful child, and grew a partnership along the way that lead them to their Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding day. //// This fun couple decided to throw all the rules out the window, and simply infuse things they like into their wedding day. They enlisted the help of family and friends to help them collect material, doilies, jars, handkerchiefs…

Intimate Destination Wedding – Little Cove, Noosa

27th October 2013

Natasha and Adam, along with their two children, Betty and Teddy, travelled a long journey to their wedding in Little Cove, Noosa. The journey started in 1997 when the UK couple met in their home town. After 15 years, two children and a very long flight, they made their vows in a very intimate ceremony, followed by a carefree reception at Bistro C, Noosa.  //// While they know it would have been easy to have a huge wedding with all the trappings back in the UK, a holiday to Australia and a Sunshine Coast wedding with only seven guests was…

1950’s Vintage-style Sunshine Beach Wedding

13th October 2013

Good day to you, lovely Sunshine Coast brides! It delights me to kick off this beautiful Monday morning with an absolutely gorgeous Sunshine Beach wedding. Hands-down, the star of this wedding is, as it should be, the bride, Kelly. She absolutely shines with her 1950’s-inspired hair and makeup with a contemporary twist.  //// The other shining brilliance is the photography, so wonderfully captured by one of our all-time favourite Sunshine Coast wedding photographers,  Andrea Sproxton Photography. These are some of the most gorgeous photos we have ever featured on The Bride’s Tree; we are extremely excited to share them with…

Real Wedding: Greer & James at Sunshine Beach

29th August 2013

Greer and James, along with their beautiful little boy, Jude, made their vows on a private lawn overlooking Sunshine Beach, a relaxed and pretty coastal town only 10 minutes south of Noosa. They then celebrated their marriage with a cocktail wedding reception at Coconut Grove Bar & Bistro, Sunshine Beach.  We absolutely love this location choice. Every Sunshine Beach wedding we have seen has been just lovely and natural, and utilised that amazing ocean view. As for their reception venue, Coconut Grove is one of our faves. The stylish décor is interesting, yet simple and casual. It’s one of those places that feels special, but not stuffy. Plus,…

Real Wedding: Meagan & Will at Clio’s

1st August 2013

Meagan and Will were married in May of 2011, on what they describe as being an absolutely perfect day, both weather-wise and in terms of everything running smoothly. A dream come true for Meagan, who only wanted to be able to enjoy her big day without the worry of things going awry. How did she pull it off? 16 months of careful planning, my friends. Their classic romantic theme with roses, and pearls and lace detail, is a lesson in elegance and timelessness. But of course this is no typical couple – as you will see in the absolutely…

Brooch Bouquet

4th March 2013

One super pretty trend to hit the wedding scene is bouquets made entirely from beads, crystals, brooches and other kinds of jewellery. Ultra glam, the beauty of these jewellery bouquets is unlike their flower counterparts, of course they do not wilt!  This beautiful little morsel is complemented with royal blue silk flowers and tied with a gorgeous ivory ribbon, pinned with a sapphire rhinestone. Gorgeous bride, Taryn (whose DIY styling we recently featured), ordered her brooch bridal bouquet online at Etsy store, Noaki Jewelry. Their customisable bouquets are carefully constructed with each little gem and brooch wired in to make…

Photo of the Week

22nd February 2013

Today’s Photo of the Week has been chosen for one simple reason. That it has many moustaches in it obviously. Oh no! Okay, there are a few more reasons… One is the moustaches, which are clearly awesome and a welcome edition to any formal occasion, especially a wedding. The next is that it is another example of a beautiful Sunshine Coast wedding day – who can deny we have simply the most stunningly gorgeous days to celebrate marital union? Of course we must make mention of the handsome crowd in this photo. And… yes, you guessed it, I don’t even…

Photo of the Week

22nd December 2012

Today will be our last Photo of the Week for the year, and it is oh-my-goodness divine! Alan Hughes Photography has hit us once again with all kinds of awesome. This photo was taken on a rainy afternoon at a Noosa wedding, just proving that rain on your wedding day is far from the end of the world. If it weren’t for this shower, this couple would not have such an incredibly stunning image. Oh okay, well yes it is photographer Alan Hughes we are talking about, so they would have had something equally as stunning without a doubt, but the…
