Real Wedding: Bridget & Jordan in Maleny

Bridget and Jordan made the sweetest Maleny bride and groom. Their wedding had a timeless simple elegance about it. And it sounds like Bridget and her mother and sister had an awful lot of fun on various crafternoons in the lead up to create some DIY prettiness for the big day.

This lovely Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding was held exactly four years to the day after the couple’s first date in North Queensland, where they were both working at the time. It is not difficult to see how much they adore one another and belong together. Just take a stroll through their wedding day with these gorgeous images by Jennifer Oliphant Photographer.

“We stayed at Montville Lake Terrace leading up to the wedding. Mum made our bouquets overlooking the lake while we all hung around together.”

“We just wanted to have a wedding that was timeless, pretty and full of love.”

What a beautiful bride! Bridget enlisted the help of KJ Artistry professional makeup artists for her perfect bridal look

“I made sure we were well prepared so as the day grew closer we could just kick back and enjoy it!”

We met in Central Queensland at the Boulia Camel Races. Jord was living in Mt Isa and I went up there for work for two months. We went on a date a few days before I moved back to Brisbane, then thought we would see where it went… and here we are!  Our wedding was four years to the day of our first date.”

“I gave my bridesmaid’s gift bags  with PJ’s, beauty products and other girly things the night before. They gave me a beautiful gold locket with ‘by your side always’ engraved on it.”

“For attendants, I had my sister, two best friends and my cousin. Jordan had his brother, his best mate and my two brothers.”

“We let our photographer Jennifer Oliphant choose the locations, she did a fantastic job! “

“We make each other laugh and are best mates. We always try to be respectful of each other.”
