Mediterranean Wedding in Noosa | PART ONE: Bridal Fashion + Beauty

It’s like stepping into another world. One that happens to be right here on the Sunshine Coast with bridal gowns, beauty and flowers that slay.

Destination wedding anyone?

Welcome to Mykonos Luxury Villa, where recently I assembled a creative crew to create a quintessentially Noosa bridal style to inspire the elegant bride. We shot across two locations, both leaning towards a Mediterranean vibe, which we leaned into with a trending “Peach Fuzz” colour palette.

The bridal looks were all captured by the talented Mallory Sparkles. If you’re looking to seamlessly incorporate 2024 wedding trends into your Noosa wedding, this shoot is for you. Furthermore, the execution of these trends won’t date as they maintain a chic, elevated style.

The Fashion – New to the Sunshine Coast, Bridal Gowns

Our model, Miné, was dressed by Moon Pearl and Bridal, a brand new bridal gown store here on the Sunshine Coast. In part one, first up we have the stunning Manti gown, which can be worn with or without its weightless tulle detachable sleeves. Very on trend for 2024 brides is the low back with prominent bow for a sweet-but-sexy bridal style with a sophisticated figure-hugging silhouette and flattering cowl neckline.

Styling The Jewels

A diamond necklace is every woman’s dream. Miné was frosted with this delicate, yet impressive necklace and matching tennis bracelet from Leskes Jewellers. Freshwater pearl drop earrings and a large pearl dress ring amplify the drama to just the right degree in continuity with the sleek bridal gown with statement sleeves.

Of course the look is complete with a band of diamonds nestled under a solitaire diamond for our bridal model’s engagement ring.

Sunshine Beach Airbnb – Mykonos on the Sunshine Coast

As though it were plucked from a Grecian island, the aptly named Mykonos Luxury Villa is ideally located in the heart of Sunshine Beach. Cross the road to find some of the Sunshine Coast’s most popular restaurants, Surf Club, and a quaint trickling of shops – not to mention the beach. It’s conveniently only 10 minutes from Hastings Street and 15 minutes from Noosa River.

The iconic facade is a striking photo shoot backdrop, and every corner of the home’s interior finishings and decor brings an unique stylised photo op.

Bridal Hair + Makeup Designs

Smooth and voluminous with a curl, the bouncy blow out is a timeless bridal hair look. Sass & Niki’s Wedding Hair worked with model Miné’s length and colour to create a dimensional style that’s both glam and seemingly effortless.

Makeup-wise, it was all about the skin. Sunshine Coast makeup artist Lauren Montgomery applied all the necessary layers to give the flawless appearance every bride wants. Miné’s lips were given a medium depth nude in a my-lips-but-better warm tone. She also wore the trending  eye makeup design of 2024 – softly blended brown winged liner with matte shadows. Finally, a flush of pink to complement the lip colour was applied to her cheeks.

Pantone Colour of the Year – Peach Fuzz Wedding

At the start of 2024, Pantone announced the colour of the year is Peach Fuzz. This colour trend always influences wedding colour palettes, and this year it’s one that is ideal for weddings on the Sunshine Coast. Peach Fuzz can be very easily incorporated into your wedding styling through florals, fashion, decorations, and even makeup. Our bouquet by Gwen Floral Co. not only features pops of peach in the blooms, but is fastened with a peach silk ribbon.

Feminine Bridal Gown For Look #2

Chantilly lace and 3D floral applique make our second bridal gown absolutely dreamy. A waterfall of glitter tulle that drapes and gathers to make this the perfect bridal gown for a Sunshine Coast wedding. The high-low design is fun and flirty with a youthful vibe. Lastly, our bridal model donned a soft tulle veil with enough length to have it seamlessly blend in with the bridal gown’s tulle skirt.

Stay Tuned for Part Two…

In Part Two of this quintessentially Noosa wedding shoot, we set up at fine dining Noosa River reception venue, Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar. Furthermore, there’s more bridal fashion and bridal jewellery, an elegant upstyle, aesthetic cocktails, stationery, live sketching, flowers and styling – all in keeping with the Mediterranean vibes.
