Simone loves Matthew | Noosa Restaurant Wedding

There aren’t many Noosa restaurant wedding venues where you can hold both your ceremony and reception in one place, but Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar is one of them.

Footbridge Park is an idyllic riverfront location, serene and stunningly positioned with the sparkling Noosa River as your backdrop. Best of all, it’s a mere few side steps from reception venue, Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar

Highschool sweethearts Simone and Matthew chose this for their Noosa wedding venue, meaning all their guests could mingle for cocktail hour while they went for a quick bridal photo shoot at Noosa Main Beach in that perfect twilight hour.

Their classic black and white wedding colour theme suited the luxe Noosa wedding location, while tying in a subtle “Something Blue” in the floral styling to incorporate a touch of prettiniess that cohesively appeared throughout. Citrus ceremony styling elements were extended to the reception tablescape as well, hinting at a slightly Mediterranean wedding vibe that the venue is known for in its style, and menu as well.

Simone was kind enough to share all her wedding secrets with us – including where she found That Dress! Read on to get all the goss on the couple’s lovely Noosa restaurant wedding day.

Coast Wedding Location

We love the coast and we love the ocean. We wanted something laid back but with good food. And this gave us our destination wedding too. The venue is just stunning with the river and mangroves, and a stone’s throw away from the beach. It has an elegant charm to it, but still not too formal. The food was everything we wanted and the service was just incredible.

Best Wedding Planning Decision

Having no bridal party was the best decision. We also invited all our guests for drinks the night before to give us a chance to talk to everyone there, and to just enjoy one another’s company on the wedding day. It created a very good vibe for the wedding as everyone already had met the night before, too.

The Proposal

I designed my own ring. I was thinking we would pick it up and then go for lunch together and be engaged. Matthew surprised me by picking up the ring early and proposing to me at a private picnic with my ring.

He’s Her Lobster

Matthew was everything different to what i knew. He was kind, loving and adventurous. I knew I had to be a part of it and a part of him. He is such a funny loyal and caring man. He is my best friend and my soul mate. Cant imagine life without him

Advice For Engaged Couples

Remember the day is about you and your partner. Don’t let anyone or anything interfere with that. Don’t feel like you have to talk and say hi to everyone on the day. It’s about your love.

Goals For The Future

Travelling as much as we can before we have children. Since our wedding we have been to Japan and the Philippines and we’re off to Egypt and Rwanda next.
