Weekly Round Up

20th September 2013

Last weekend my man cub and I threw caution to the wind, exited our lives in the most cheeky manner (two days of school and work respectively), and took to the open road. Our destination: Fraser Island. The world's largest sand island is located only 2.5 hours by car plus 40 mins by ferry north of the Sunshine Coast, and yet I had never been. Shameful, I know! It's almost like a requirement of Sunny Coast locals to regularly trip to this beautiful spot. Now I can say I know just why.  We are not the camping types. Okay, I…

UK Couple Married at Yandina Station

28th April 2013

Dan and Melika travelled all the way from London to have their wedding day in Queensland, Australia… in the rain! Who would believe it! However, they never let it dampen their day for a moment, even saying the rain added a certain touch of magic to their special day.  Wanting to give their international guests a unique wedding to remember, they chose cattle station wedding venue, Yandina Station to hold their beautiful wedding for 101 guests. Yandina Station is beautifully maintained with luxury cottage accommodation, but also has a rad rustic old barn to hold wedding receptions in. This really…

Photo of the Week

15th March 2013

Whenever we have worked with Matt Rowe Photography, we have been struck by the care he takes in ensuring he gets just the right shot. He’s looking for perfection, and he does not stop until he gets it. This is evident in today’s Photo of the Week, which is from an engagement shoot in Bli Bli.  It’s an outrageously gorgeous sunset love story for Djanisa and Rana, and we are hopelessly in love with it! Matt Rowe is one Sunshine Coast wedding photographer to watch – you mark our words. Have a beautiful weekend, lovelies!

Whether it be a high structured bun, a low chignon, or some cascading curls pulled to the side for a striking asymmetrical style, each of these pretty bridal hair styles has their place in a Sunshine Coast wedding. We love…

Photo of the Week

7th December 2012

It may have been raining in Yandina, but this couple's spirits were far from dampened. Just look at the beautiful happiness upon their faces. We adore this couple. He is a chivalrous lad holding the umbrealla for his bride. However, she's no shrinking violet – here she is hiking up her dress and getting on with it! Puddles be gone!  Matt Rowe Photography is responsible for today's Photo of the Week, a beautiful black and white wedding photo from a Yandina wedding. Love!

28th November 2012

Where to Start All eyes are on you for your wedding day, so be sure to have your hair looking immaculate. Of course making the decision to go for an up-do, flowing locks or somewhere in-between is a personal choice. Here are a few things to consider. Which style usually suits you and will have you feeling most comfortable on the day? Are you wearing a veil or other hair accessory? Which style will look best with your dress? If you are going with a theme, is there a hair style that will best fit this theme? Eg. 1950’s…

Just in case you missed it…

10th November 2012

It has been yet another beautiful week on the Sunshine Coast, which is without a doubt living up to its name. It is no wonder this is the most popular time of year to be married here. The sun has been shining, our beaches are sparkling with white sand and blue waters, air is so clear, the view from the hinterland is endless.  We have also had a wonderful week at The Bride's Tree HQ, as we have found ourselves terribly inspired by all of the amazing Sunshine Coast wedding professionals once again.  Monday we kicked off with one of…
