Real Wedding: Emma & Josh in Maroochydore

5th August 2014

Emma looked like a dream on her wedding day when she became the wife of handsome Josh. The pair chose a waterfront location in Maroochydore to say their vows before family and friends in a super fun ceremony, officiated by Sunshine Coast celebrant, Lynette Maguire.  Their memories were captured in an outrageously beautiful fashion by none other than one of our all-time faves, Matt Rowe Photography. The couple say the most fun part of the day was their bridal party photo shoot, mucking around and coming up with creative group shots!  “There are so many great memories from our wedding…

20th July 2014

Marketing Manager Louise and Engineer Michael first met in primary school, when their families lived across the road from one another. Having known each other for such a long time, it’s no wonder Louise describes mutual respect as their greatest strength as a couple.  While the couple of five years lives locally, their family and friends travelled from Victoria to spend some time soaking up the Sunshine Coast. Oh, and of course celebrating the marital union of the very gorgeous Louise and Michael.  Jennifer Oliphant  was the couple’s chosen photographer, capturing their day in a most beautiful manner. Ceremony Order of Service

14th May 2014

Today we have a guest blog post from Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant, Natalie Banner – From This Moment Ceremonies, who has done us the very kind favour of explaining exactly what a typical wedding ceremony involves. With a lot of flexibility in her own ceremonies, today Natalie gives us the basics as a starting point for what to expect when you embark on planning your own once-in-a-lifetime moment.  When I look to meet a couple for the very first time, and begin the journey of planning their personalised wedding ceremony, the first question most couples tend to ask about, leads into the…

Amanda and Trev were highschool sweethearts, who fell truly, madly, deeply and hopelessly in love over exchange of sweet childish love letters. How she turned up to her wedding ceremony without puffy eyes, we will never know!  //// This beautiful couple had a long engagement of four years before they finally tied the knot at gorgeous Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding venue, Flaxton Gardens. Real Wedding: Natalie & Orren in Cotton Tree

4th April 2014

Natalie and Orren broke tradition in so many ways for their Cotton Tree wedding. They had a very non-traditional, yet ever-growing in popularity “first look”, whereby the bride and groom have a very private and intimate meeting prior to their ceremony.  They also took their bridal party photos before the ceremony, forewent a theme, invited children, and provided a picnic for the guests upon arrival. I love the way this couple took every measure to ensure their guests had an amazing day with very thoughtful considerations.  Chloe from White Images caught the entire beautiful affair on camera. Take a peek! …

Magic Moment In Time

12th February 2014

By Guest Blogger, Ann Hills, Sunshine Coast wedding celebrant All weddings are beautiful, but there are some that stand out.  It is not just the wedding dress or the colour of the bridesmaids or the location and mind you there are some stunning locations particularly around the Sunshine Coast. It is a moment in time. I had a wedding recently that has stuck in my mind.  The location was – The Little White Wedding Church in Maleny. The weather was perfect and I was standing at the front of the church with the Groom anticipating the arrival of the Bride….

Why the Fourth Finger is Traditionally the Ring Finger

19th November 2013

Your Celebrant Shona works with many couples from different cultures. One of her beautiful Chinese couples gave this beautiful explanation of why the fourth finger is traditionally the wedding ring finger. We have never heard this explanation before, and we were positively blown away by this practical demonstration! Firstly, hold your open palms face-to-face, and bend your middle fingers down  and hold together back-to-back. Next, open and hold the remaining fingers and thumb tip to tip as shown.  Now, try to separate the thumbs – these represent The Parents and you will notice they separate easily, because your parents are…
