New Elizabeth De Varga Range

5th June 2013

Ooh, brides, do we have a treat for you today! One of our fave photographers, Andrea Sproxton, has shot the recently launched 2013 Elizabeth De Varga Couture Collections and Studio Collections, and they are ahmayzing!  You can see the love and care that goes into each and every gown, and I personally have seen this process first hand in their Sunshine Coast-based workshop, where you can view their new range in their showroom next door by appointment, or in their flagship store in Brisbane.  Enjoy these amazing images, taken at Maleny Manor and The Beauty Academy by Andrea Sproxton Photography The new…

The Prettiest Expo Stand in all the Land!

27th May 2013

I’m going to get a little bit smug here, I’m sorry, but it’s entirely called for. Because it is now widely known that The Bride’s Tree is the bearer of the prettiest expo stand in all the land. And this is where my smugness ends, because while I would love to take credit for it, the concepting and styling genius belongs entirely to Hayley Shum from Wholehearted Studio.  This time last year we launched our first ever expo stand at the It’s My Wedding expo, and exactly one year later, we have had a complete redesign by the same clever lass,…

Weekly Round Up

4th May 2013

Sometimes it just amazes me how much beauty I am exposed to day in and day out. I'd love to say this is because the reflection looking back at me is amazing, but as I have a young child and I work from home… let's just say some days the hair situation is a sight to behold! No of course, it's the beauty that comes my way each and every day in the form of inspiring weddings on the Sunshine Coast, and all of the work being done by Sunshine Coast wedding professionals.  Take for example a few of our…

Lavender and Old Lace Styled Shoot

10th April 2013

The inspiration for this styled bridal photo shoot in Peachester is the beautiful, blooming Jacaranda Tree. Popular for its prettiness of lavender leaves littering the ground below, the Jacaranda Tree at this Peachester wedding venue, Mango Hill Farm, has attracted many a bride to its canopy.  This shoot actually featured in Volume 4 of The Bride’s Tree free online magazine, however we couldn’t fit in all of the gorgeous images by Marion Jonkers Photography that we would have liked to. So we are sharing them with you now, my pretties! We are not a selfish mob, we would not keep such splendour to…

Photo of the Week

5th April 2013

Orange florals! Love them. LOVE them. They are fresh, they are funky, they go beautifully with these tangerine-coloured bridesmaid dresses. I adore how the bouquet by Sunshine Coast florist, Willow Bud, is very much a structured posy with traditional roses, but also with a wildflower feel. Just gorgeous!  The photo itself is also obviously stunningly gorgeous, which is why it is our photo of the week by Sunshine Coast photographer, A Look Photography.

Best of the Best Bouquet Inspiration

21st February 2013

It will be your constant companion on your wedding day, so your wedding bouquet should be something you adore almost as much as your bridal gown, at least as much as you love your shoes, perhaps even cradled and adored like you would your first born child. Too far? Yeah, I always do that… I go too far…  I’m sorry, I just really love beautiful flowers! And these amazing bouquets I am sharing with you today are so super beautiful, they all feature in Volume 4 of The Bride’s Tree free online bridal magazine. Throughout the three real Sunshine Coast…

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

10th December 2012

Feliz Navidad, beautiful Sunshine Coast brides! The stores have long been busting out the carols, lights are up all around the neighbourhood, almost everyone I know has their tree up, the eating, drinking and being merry is well underway. Oh, and in this part of the world, it is prime beach weather with blue skies, glittering white sand and sparkling saltwater. Divine! To me the best part about Christmas is the decorative factor – everything just looks so pretty! Sometimes tacky… but mostly pretty! And no Christmas decoration I have seen is more super pretty than the one we are…
