Hola Gorgeous Stationery

12th May 2014

I’ll let you in on a little secret about the stationery suite from the Mexican-themed styled shoot in our latest magazine… this suite was actually created for the designer’s own Mexican wedding!  The invitation suite by newlywed Lisa of Ivy Invite jumps head first into the Day of the Dead theme. At first this may appear to be a morbid theme for a wedding, but in fact this is a huge fiesta in Mexico strongly connected to their most sacred religious holiday and is all about gathering together with family.  The suite features rustic etched pine with Mexican skulls and pineapples, along with a…

Nautical Wedding Stationery

12th March 2013

For their upcoming wedding, Chloe and Joel commissioned Kerrie-anne Designs to custom design an invitation set that would lend itself to their dual theme. Rustic and nautical was the order of the day, so super clever and creative Kerrie-Anne set about creating this unique set, which includes the invitation itself, personalised name tags, map to the ceremony, and RSVP postcard. With her design, Kerrie-anne had a stamp made, which she applied to transparent paper and fixed it to balsa wood. We absolutely adore the attention to detail and care put into every one of Kerrie-anne’s designs.  Kerrie-anne Designs has both custom…

Ooh, what a splendid idea – fabric wedding invitations! The very clever Michelle of Stand Tall Design has put together this amazing wedding stationery, all based around a piece of fabric she had in the back of her cupboard. Not at all a sewer, Michelle took to the machine like a fish to water (okay, she actually admits it was a bit trickier than this, but got there in the end!), and the end result is this stunning stationery range, including the matching bomboniere jam jar label and fabric lid cover. Cute! Michelle says she can create a stationery range…
