Photo of the Week

2nd August 2012

The best wedding albums include photos just like this beautiful one by Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding photographer, Artography. It is raw emotion. It is joy! The pure delight on the faces of this Sunshine Coast bride and her elderly relative in this exchange is just one moment in her special day, but I’m darn sure it’s one she is so incredibly thrilled is here to keep forever. Artography is a family run business, located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, and we were fortunate to work with one of their talented photographers on our Bridal Boudoir photo shoot. Their stunning photos at Maleny…

Eco Wedding Styling

Eco styling is a burgeoning wedding trend we are lusting after in a big, bad lustful manner. Okay, that may be a little over the top, but we really, really like it a whole awful lot! It’s about nature, and taking the raw unique elements it has to offer and constructing them in a beautifully assembled tablescape. We love the colours Splash Events have used in this theme. They have allowed the colours, understated floral arrangements, succulents and impressive twig centrepiece to take centrestage by complimenting them with simple white dinnerware and clear wine glasses. A rustic feeling is brought…

The Highlands At Your Wedding

1st August 2012

If you are a Sunshine Coast bride holding strong to tradition with your wedding, then an element to include may be to have bagpipes played at your wedding ceremony. For centuries, bagpipes have been played to entertain wedding guests and to provide a sense of atmosphere in many countries the world over, not just Scotland!  It is also said to be terribly good luck for the bride first to be greeted by a bagpipe player when arriving at her wedding ceremony. This ensures a long and successful marriage, according to legend. How lovely indeed! If you really wanted to get into…

Roses are Many Colours, Shapes and Sizes

31st July 2012

There is nothing more romantic than a rose for your Sunshine Coast wedding. It is the symbol of love and romanticism. It's no wonder the flower is so frequently used is bridal bouquets. The rose is also a very versatile flower, and can bring that romance to your wedding flowers in many different ways. There are different kinds of roses – David Austin Roses, Grandiflora, Leonidas, Anouschka, Prima Donna to name a few… and don't even get me started on the hybrid roses (although I am particularly partial to a tulip rose.) You would also be surprised to learn how many…

Fabric-inspired Wedding Invites

30th July 2012

Ooh, what a splendid idea – fabric wedding invitations! The very clever Michelle of Stand Tall Design has put together this amazing wedding stationery, all based around a piece of fabric she had in the back of her cupboard. Not at all a sewer, Michelle took to the machine like a fish to water (okay, she actually admits it was a bit trickier than this, but got there in the end!), and the end result is this stunning stationery range, including the matching bomboniere jam jar label and fabric lid cover. Cute! Michelle says she can create a stationery range…

Photo of the Week

27th July 2012

Look at these awesome little dudes! If this pair don’t kick start you to have a super Saturday, I just don’t know what will. Seriously, just – look at them! This moment in time was captured by the brilliant Karen Buckle Photography, whose work we love and adore with all our little hearts. As a top Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, Karen would be lucky enough to happen upon gorgeous little people like this all the time at weddings. Now, I know that many people like to have a child-free wedding, allow the parents to kick back and enjoy the party, and…

Darling Little Details

25th July 2012

Sunshine Coast brides! We have a date for you to pen into your diary. Notice we said pen, not pencil, because there will be no erasing of this little beauty, that's for dang sure. The date is September 8, and the event is… wait for it…. the Sunshine Coast's first vintage events fair! Ahhhhh! (That was our angels noise, hallejulah-style.) We are SO excited about this event. We are going to be there… But you may not find us at our stall, because we just might be too busy nipping around to everybody else's displays to check out all…

Country Charm with Fruit Wedding Styling

23rd July 2012

There is a whole lot of creative pretty in this charming country wedding. Who knew a tower of green apples could make such an impressive centrepiece! Keirra and Chris said their vows under a pretty chandelier and lantern-adorned tree on Keirra's family's private property in Traverston, which is located in the Noosa hinterland. Parasols, fruit punch and chalk boards are all present in the styling of this Noosa hinterland wedding, and it's thanks to the genius of Sunshine Coast wedding decorators, Beedazzled Events, who never cease to amaze us with their inspired creativity. We love this vintage country charm using…
